in size.

sparewheel of adifferent size replaced
at thenearestqualified specialistwork‐
shop. The newwheel musthave the
correct dimensions.
Checkthe tirepressureofthe emergency spare
wheel installed. Correct thepressureasneces‐
sary.
The maximum permissible speed withanemer‐
gency spare wheel installed is 50 mph
(80 km/h).
Do notinstall theemergency spare wheel with
snow chains.
Replace theemergency spare wheel aftersix
yearsatthe latest, regardless of wear.

Vehicles with atirepressuremonitoring
system: If an emergency spare wheel is
installed thetirepressuremonitoring system
cannot function reliably. Forafew minutes
afteranemergency spare wheel is installed,
thesystemmay still displaythe tirepressure
of theremovedwheel. Onlyrestart thesys‐
temagain when theemergency spare wheel
has been replaced withanew wheel.
