Alternator Belt Inspection

WARNING
Inspecting the belts with the engine running may cause serious injury or
death. Turn off the engine and remove the ignition key before adjusting
tension or inspecting belts.
Inspect the alternator belt and have it replaced by an authorized dealer if any of
the following conditions are found.
• Cracks or deterioration in the rubber portion of the belt.
• Belt surfaces rough or uneven.
• Signs of wear on edges or outer surfaces of belt.
Lubrication Points
1. Lubricate the following with Extreme Grease or 2‑4‑C with PTFE.
