3. Release the tilt‑positioning pin. Verify that the latch pin is sercurely
engaged.

Adjusting the Steering Tension
Adjust the steering tension knob to increase or decrease the effort to
turn the motor freely.
To fasten the column in a fixed position, tighten the friction strip by
turning the steering tension knob clockwise. To unfasten the column
from a fixed position, turn the steering tension knob counterclockwise
to reach the desired steering tension.

Adjusting the Motor Depth
Adjusting the depth of the motor improves trolling motor performace in
various water depths.
