NOTE: The option to Add or Remove will be grayed out if there is a policy file currently open. Close the file
in use and then change the template configuration.
Configuring Policy Settings
The configuration options available to you fall into a tree structure, which is
determined by the layout of the .adm file. By navigating through these options,
you can select a mode that determines the action that will be taken when the
policy file is applied.
The figure below shows sample user options for the Shell.
Policies are applied as follows:
If the box is checked, it is implemented. When the user next logs on, the
users computer conforms to the policy. If the option was checked the last
time the user logged on, Windows NT makes no changes.
