These appliances can be fitted under
-
neath a worktop run in which case it is
essential to provide a minimum area of
space around the appiance for ventila
-
tion. Without this ventilation it cannot be
guaranteed that the appliance will work
to its full potential. The minimum ventila
-
tion area required is 140 cm2. The mini
-
mum height to the underside of the
worktop required to fulfil this require
-
ment would be:
–
K 2224 S 87.6 cm
–
K 2214 S 87.6 cm
–
K 2326 S 87.4 cm
– K 2316 S 87.4 cm
The appliance lid can be removed for
installation under a worktop. This re-
duces the height of the appliance by
3 cm, thus reducing the minimum
worktop height requirement by 3 cm.
To remove the lid:
^
Remove screws a from the rear of
the appliance.
^
Lift the appliance lid up at the rear
and then pull it towards the front of
the appliance to remove it.
If there is not adequate ventilation
when placed under a worktop then a
minimum ventilation area of 140 cm
2
must be provided for at the back of
the worktop itself.
Note that if the building under depth
of the worktop is only 600 mm and
an upstand (e.g. a Corian
splashback) is fitted above it, make
sure that it does not exceed 10 mm
in depth as otherwise it could hinder
ventilation from the appliance.
