Setup
1. Make sure your Internet service provider is allowing hardware change and will issue an automatic IP
address;
2. Connect the device to the power source;
3. Open network connections on your computer and search for "MikroTik-..." wireless network - connect
to it;
4. The configuration can be done through the wireless network using a web browser or mobile app.
Alternatively, you can use a WinBox configuration tool https://mt.lv/winbox;
5. Open https://192.168.88.1 in your web browser to start configuration, user name: admin and there is no
password by default (or, for some models, check user and wireless passwords on the sticker);
6. Click the (Check for updates) button and update your RouterOS software to the latest version;
7. Choose your country, to apply country regulation settings;
8. Set up your wireless network password;
9. Set up your router password;
10.The following RouterOS "npk" packages are required for the core functionality of the product:
wifiwave2, system.
