ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM (ABS)
The ABS (with EBD) ensures directional stability and
controllability during hard braking. The ABS is stan
-
dard equipment on the all models.
This ABS uses a 4-sensor system that controls all
four wheels independently of each other, and has the
following features:
• EBD

control that can obtain ideal rear wheel
brake force has been employed.
• The magnetic encoder for detecting the wheel
speed has been installed instead of the rotor as
the wheel speed sensor.
• For wiring harness saving and secure data com-
munication, CAN

bus has been adopted as a
tool of communication with other ECUs.
