Common Radio Features
Conventional Squelch Options
Analog Squelch
Tone Private Line (PL) and carrier squelch can be available
(preprogrammed) per channel.
PL Defeat
With this feature, you can override any coded squelch (PL or network
ID) that might be programmed to a channel.
When in... this condition occurs:
Carrier squelch You hear all traffic on a channel.
PL The radio responds only to your messages.
Place the preprogrammed PL Defeat switch in the PL Defeat
position. You can now hear any activity on the channel. The
radio is muted if no activity is present.
