BF TYPE 160 Series OPERATION MANUAL
Using a syringe
1. Securely insert a syringe into the slit of the biopsy valve.
2. Press the plunger to feed lavage fluid (see Figure 4.6 a).
3. With the syringe attached, slowly withdraw the plunger to aspirate lavage
fluid (see Figure 4.6 b).

4.3 Withdrawal of the endoscope
If the endoscope cannot be withdrawn from the patient
smoothly, do not attempt to forcibly withdraw it; leave it inside
the patient and immediately contact Olympus. Forcibly
withdrawing the endoscope may cause patient injury.
1. Carefully withdraw the endoscope while observing the endoscopic image.
2. Remove the mouthpiece from the patient’s mouth.
