Inspection and maintenance
Power must be disconnected from the electric hoist before it is inspected or serviced.
Definition of a hoist:
The wire must be operated out and in again with a load attached. In the case of a working period of
time of 10 minutes, it is recommended that the electric hoist is used for 25% of the time, i.e. 2.5
minutes for every 10 minutes.
NB: The expected service life of the electric hoist is 8,000 hoists.
Check the wire for breakage/defects after every 30 hoists.
Check that the lower limit lever functions after every 100 hoists – it must stop the reel
when there is approximately two revolutions of wire left on the reel.
Check that the upper limit lever functions after every 100 hoists – the stop fitting must
stop the reel when it strikes the bracket.
Check and lubricate the wire after every 200 hoists.
Tighten all of the bolts and check the frame and bracket for breakage or cracks after
every 1000 hoists.
