Enabling/disabling the automatic
power-off function
When the product is switched on, press and hold [4]
for approx. 2seconds to enable or disable the automatic
power-off function.
When the automatic power-off function is enabled,
[8] is shown on the display[3]. In this case, the
product switches off automatically if no button has been
pressed for approx. 20minutes.
Turning the backlight on or off
When the product is switched on, press and hold [6]
for approx. 2seconds to turn the backlight on or off.
Selecting the unit of measurement
Press UNIT[5] to enter the setting mode. SET[] is
shown on the display[3].
The wind speed unit m/s[] flashes on the display[3].
This means, that this unit is selected.
Repeatedly press UNIT[5] to toggle between the
available units.
When the desired unit flashes on the display[3], stop
pressing UNIT[5]. After 2seconds, the selected unit is
saved automatically. The product returns to measurement
mode.
Positioning the product/Taking a
measurement
When the product is switched on, hold and position the
product so that the airflow to be measured enters the
vane[1] from the rear side of the product.
For more accurate results, try to keep the axis of the
vane within 20° of the wind direction. The airflow being
measured must have direct and unhindered access to the
vane without any obstacles in between.
Wait for approx. 5seconds. The display[3] shows the
wind speed together with the current temperature.
The display[3] shows Hi when the measured
temperature is higher than +50°C (+122°F).
The display[3] shows Lo when the measured
temperature is lower than –10°C (+14°F).
The display[3] shows OL when the measured wind
speed exceeds 30m/s (108km/h, 5906ft/min,
67.2mph, or 58.32knots).
Using the data hold function
(freeze)
In measurement mode, briefly press HOLD[6] to freeze
the current readings on the display[3]. The display
shows H [].
Press HOLD[6] again to return to measurement mode.
H [] goes off in the display[3].
