the
two
pieces

fabric
to
be
joined
one
on
top
of
the
other
with
their
edges
in
line.
Insert
them
in
the
machine
so
that
they
extend
to
the
right
of
the
needle
(see
ill.
below).
Sew
along
the
fabric
edge
so
that
the
needle
alternately
stitches
into
the
fabric
and
over
its
edge.
In
this
way,
you
join
both
pieces
and
finish
their
edges
in
one
operation,
as
was
done
with
elastic
knitted
and
woven
fabrics.
