If you are trimming for the first time,
start by using the guard at the
maximum trimming length setting
(23/32in, 18mm) to prevent
accidentally trimming hairs too short.
As you become familiar with the
settings, turn the zoom wheel to set to
desired trimming length. The zoom
wheel will click into position at each
setting.
4 Switch on the product.
5 To trim most effectively, stretch the skin
with your free hand and move the
product against the hair growth direction
(Fig. 16). Make sure that the surface of
the guard always stays in contact with
the skin.
Note: Since hairs do not all grow in the
same direction, you may want to try
different trimming positions (i.e. upwards,
downwards, or across). Practice is best
for optimum results.
-
When you use the appliance on your
armpits, raise your arm and put your
hand on the back of your head to
stretch the skin.
-
If cut hairs have accumulated in the
guard during use, switch off the
product, remove the guard and blow
and/or shake the hair out of the
guard.
6 Switch off and clean the product after
each use (see 'Cleaning').
