Headlight adjustment
Proceed as follows:
1. Place the vehicle, in running order and with the
tyres inflated to the prescribed pressure, on a flat
surface 10-m away from a white screen situated in
a shaded area, making sure that the longitudinal
axis of the scooter is perpendicular to the screen;
2. Turn on the headlight and check that the bor-
derline of the projected light beam on the screen
is not higher than 9/10 or lower than 7/10 of the
distance from the ground to the centre of vehicle
headlamp;
3. If otherwise, adjust the right headlight with screw
«A».

THE ABOVE PROCEDURE COMPLIES WITH THE EURO-
PEAN STANDARDS REGARDING MAXIMUM AND MINI-
MUM HEIGHT OF LIGHT BEAMS. REFER TO THE STATU-
TORY REGULATIONS IN FORCE IN EVERY COUNTRY
WHERE THE VEHICLE IS USED.

In the event that the exhaust on the vehicle being
tested does not have an exhaust gases collection
port, proceed as follows:
- Remove the R.H. side fairing
- Remove the secondary air box cover with the
aluminium cap by acting upon the clamp shown in
the figure.
Attach the exhaust gas collection tube to the sec-
ondary air rubber manifold. Such joint must be
sealed in order to guarantee accurate CO read-
ings.
- Start the engine, adjust the idle speed to 1,700 ± 100 rpm and check the CO value is equal 3.5 ± 1%
