Gearcase Oil
n Gearcase Oil Check
Check and change the gearcase oil at
the intervals outlined in the Periodic
Maintenance Table beginning on page
98.
Polaris recommends the use of Polaris
Synthetic Chaincase Lube. See page
149 for the part numbers of Polaris
products.
The dipstick is located on the lower
front side of the gearcase. Maintain
the oil level in the safe operating
range, between the upper and lower
marks on the dipstick.
1. Position the vehicle on a level
surface.
2. Remove the dipstick and wipe it
dry with a clean cloth. Reinstall
the dipstick.
3. Remove the dipstick and view the oil level.
4. Add the recommended oil as needed. Do not overfill.
5. Reinstall the dipstick.
