What to do if my Polaris Offroad Vehicle engine stops or loses power?
- ZzmurrayAug 8, 2025
If your Polaris Offroad Vehicle engine stops or loses power, here's what you can check: * Refuel, cycle the key to the ON position three times for 5 seconds each, then start if the vehicle is out of fuel. * Inspect and replace a kinked or plugged fuel vent line. * Replace with new fuel if water is present in the fuel. * Inspect, clean, and/or replace fouled or defective spark plugs. * Set the gap to specifications or replace the plug if the spark plug gap or heat range is incorrect. * Check all connections and tighten if ignition connections are loose. * Recharge the battery to 12.8 VDC if the battery voltage is low. * Replace with fresh recommended fuel if the fuel is incorrect. * Inspect and clean or replace the air filter if it is clogged.
