Inapoint‐to‐pointlink,oneradiounitfunctionsasthe“dominant”unit.Thisunitiscalledthe
MasterODU.TheotherunitiscalledtheSlaveODU.Thisterminologydescribestheirrelative
roles.
IntheRADWINManagersoftwareapplication,thedominantunitisalsocalledRadioTerminal
A(RT‐A(HBS)),andtheotherunitiscalledRadioTerminalB(RT‐B(HSU)).Thisterminologyis
takenfrompoint‐to‐multipointtechnology,whereoneunitisaBaseStation(HBS),andisthe
dominantunit,andtheotherunitsareSubscriberUnits(HSU),wheretherecanbemultiple
SubscriberUnits.
All2000+radiosareshippedfromthefactorydefinedasSlaveODUs.Youmustre‐defineone
asaMasterODU.InstructionsfordoingthisarefoundinDefineOneUnitasanRT‐A(HBS).
