Safety Function (Frequency Detection)
Introduction
This application note describes the frequency detection function which is one of the safety features offered by the
RL78/G13.
The frequency detection function compares the high-speed on-chip oscillator clock or the external X1 oscillation clock
and the low-speed on-chip oscillator clock. This allows detection of any abnormal clock frequencies.

When applying the sample program covered in this application note to another microcomputer, modify the program
according to the specifications for the target microcomputer and conduct an extensive evaluation of the modified
program.
