Mechanism - 1
The main motor drives the feed roller (10) to feed paper from the
tray.
Only one sheet passes the feed roller and friction pad.
The registration sensor (8) detects the leading edge of the paper.
This triggers the laser unit above which writes the image onto the
drum.
The registration sensor will trigger an error if the leading and
trailing edge of the paper do not pass within the correct time. (The
timing depends on the paper length.)
