REPLACING THE BLADE
WARNING: To reduce the risk of injury, keep
the blade protector on the blade at all times.
Remove the blade protector only during
cutting operations.
1. Turn o the product, and allow it to cool
down.
2. Place the combination wrench through the
hole in the upper ange washer and the hole
in the gear head.
Using the wrench, turn the blade retainer nut
clockwise half a turn from finger-tight.
Remove the cupped washer, blade washer,
and ange washer, and then remove the
blade from the upper ange washer.
3. Place the upper ange washer over the gear
shaft with the hollow side towards the blade
guard.
Centre the blade on the upper ange washer,
and make sure that the blade sits at.
Install the blade washer and cupped washer
with the raised centre away from the blade,
and make sure it sits well into the gear shaft.
Install the blade retainer nut until nger-tight.
Place the combination wrench through the
hole in the upper ange washer and the hole
in the gear head.
Using the wrench, turn the blade retainer nut
counterclockwise at least 4 turns from nger-
tight.
