PROBLEM LIKELY CAUSE SOLUTION
1. With the key on “START”
the starter motor does not
run
2. With the key on «START»,
the starter motor runs but
the engine does not start
3. Starting is dicult or the
engine runs
erratically
4. Poor engine performance
during cutting
5. The motor shuts down
whilst working
Turn the key to pos. «OFF» and
look for the causes:
– conditions are not met to allow
starting
– badly connected battery
– battery terminals crossed
– completely at battery or eroded
battery plates
– fuse blown (10 A)
– electronic card wet
– malfunction on the starter relay
– insuciently charged battery
– faulty fuel supply
– faulty ignition
– fault in carburation
– forward speed too high
compared to cutting height
– the safety devices have cut in
– fuse blown (10 A)

check that the conditions allow-
ing starting are met ( 5.2 .a)
– check connections

– recharge the battery

– replace the fuse (10 A)

– dry using tepid air
– contact Your Dealer
– recharge the battery

– check the level in the tank

present)

– check that spark plug cap is se-
curely tted
– check that the electrodes are
clean and have the correct gap
– clean or replace the air lter
– empty the fuel tank and rell
with fresh fuel
– check and replace the fuel lter
if necessary
– reduce the forward speed and/
or raise the cutting deck

– replace the fuse (10 A)
