English 9 Adjusting the Trimmer / Brushcutter
► Attach the carabiner (1) to the carrying strip (2) on the
trimmer / brushcutter.
9.2 Adjusting the Handlebar
The handlebar can be adjusted to suit the height and reach
of the operator.
To adjust the position of the handlebar:
► Shut off the engine, @ 12.1.
► Attach the carabiner to the carrying strip on the trimmer /
brushcutter.
► Loosen the clamp screw (1).
► Swing the control handle (2) to the required position.
► Tighten the clamp screw until the handlebar is secure and
can no longer be moved.
9.3 Balancing the Trimmer / Brushcutter
The mowing head or the metal cutting attachment should
come to rest gently on the ground.
To balance the trimmer / brushcutter:
► Let the trimmer / brushcutter sway on the harness until it
stops moving.
► If the trimmer / brushcutter is not properly balanced,
change the attachment point of the carabiner on the
carrying strip and check the balance again.
