English 21 Troubleshooting Guide
The robotic mower is not working
and nothing is shown in the
display.
– Machine is in standby.
– Battery discharged.
► Press any button to wake up the robotic mower. The
status screen appears, @ 13.2.
► If the robotic mower is still not working, have the
battery replaced by an authorized STIHL iMow
servicing dealer.
The robotic mower is noisy and
vibrates.
Mowing blade is damaged. ► Replace the mowing blade and remove any
obstacles from the lawn, @ 20.3.
Mowing deck is very dirty ► Clean the mowing deck, @ 19.
Poor mulching or mowing result. Grass is too high in relation to the
cutting height.
► Adjust the cutting height, @ 16.4.
Lawn is extremely wet. ► Set the rain sensor, @ 15.2.
► Change the active times, @ 14.6.
Mowing blade is blunt or worn. ► Replace the mowing blade, @ 20.3.
Active times insufficient, mowing
duration too short.
► Extend or add active times, @ 14.6.
► Extend the mowing duration, @ 14.7.
Size of mowing area set
incorrectly.
► Create a new mowing plan, @ 14.5.
Long periods of rain. ► Allow mowing during rain, @ 15.2.
► Extend the active times, @ 14.6.
Display in a foreign language Language setting has been
changed.
► Set the language, @ 10.2.
Brown (earthy) patches appear in
the mowing area.
Mowing duration is too long in
relation to the mowing area.
► Reduce the mowing duration, @ 14.6.
Perimeter wire has been routed
with excessively tight radius.
► Correct the routing of the perimeter wire, @ 11.
Size of mowing area set
incorrectly.
► Create a new mowing plan, @ 14.5.
Mowing operations are
significantly shorter than usual.
Grass is very high or too wet. ► Adjust the cutting height, @ 16.4.
► Set the rain sensor, @ 15.2.
► Change the active times, @ 14.6.
Machine (mowing deck, drive
wheels) is very dirty.
► Clean the machine,
@ 19.
Battery has reached end of
service life.
► Have the battery replaced by an authorized STIHL
iMow servicing dealer.
The robotic mower is docked, the
battery is not charging.
The battery does not need to be
charged.
► No action necessary. The battery charging occurs
automatically below a certain voltage.
Always activate the disabling device before carrying out any inspection, cleaning or maintenance.
