21 Troubleshooting Guide
The obstacle is not firmly
attached to the ground – e.g.
fallen fruit or tennis ball.
► Start all mowing operations at the docking station in
suitable mowing areas, @ 15.6.
Driving tracks at edge of mowing
area.
Too frequent edge mowing. ► Switch off edge mowing or reduce it to once per
week, @ 15.3.
Starting points in use. ► Start all mowing operations at the docking station in
suitable mowing areas, @ 15.6.
Battery is charged very frequently
towards the end of its service life.
► Have the battery replaced by an authorized STIHL
iMow servicing dealer.
Offset drive home (passage) not
switched on.
► Switch on offset drive home, @ 15.2.
Unmowed grass at edge of
mowing area.
Edge mowing switched off. ► Mow the edge once or twice per week, @ 15.3
Perimeter wire routed
inaccurately.
► Check the routing of the perimeter wire, @ 10.7.
► Check the clearances with the iMowRuler, @ 11.3.
Grass is out of reach of mowing
blade.
► Cut the unmowed areas regularly using a suitable
grass trimmer.
No wire signal Docking station switched off – the
LED is off.
► Switch on the docking station, @ 12.
Docking station not connected to
electrical socket – the LED is off.
► Check power supply to the docking station, @ 10.3.
Perimeter wire not connected to
the docking station – red LED
flashes.
► Connect the perimeter wire to the docking station,
@ 10.5.
Break in perimeter wire – red LED
flashes.
► Search for wire break (@ 21.3), then repair
perimeter wire using wire connectors, @ 11.13.
Robotic mower and docking
station are not linked.
► Link robotic mower and docking station, @ 10.6.
Electronics fault. ► Contact an authorized STIHL iMow servicing dealer.
Installed perimeter wire too short
– red LED flashes rapidly at
intervals, @ 12.1.
► Install the STIHL Small Area Module AKM 100
(special accessory).
► Contact an authorized STIHL iMow servicing dealer.
Always activate the disabling device before carrying out any inspection, cleaning or maintenance.
