Front Brake Lever Adjustment
The distance between the throttle grip
and the front brake lever is adjustable
to 5 positions. To change the position,
push the brake lever forward and turn
the adjuster to the desired position.
When changing the brake lever posi-
tion, always be sure the adjuster
stops in the proper position; a projec-
tion of the brake lever pivot should fit
into the depression of the adjuster.
This motorcycle is delivered from the
factory with its adjuster set on posi-
tion 3.
ELECTRIC STARTER SWITCH “.”

This switch is used for operating the
starter motor. With the ignition switch
in the “ON” position, the engine stop
switch in “$”, the transmission in
neutral, squeeze the clutch lever,
push the electric starter switch to
operate the starter motor and start
the engine.
NOTE: This motorcycle is equipped
with interlock switches for the ignition
circuit and the starter circuit. The
engine can only be started if:
• The transmission is in neutral and
the clutch is disengaged, or
• The transmission is in gear, the
side stand is fully up and the
clutch is disengaged.
WARNING
Adjusting the front brake lever
position while riding can be haz-
ardous. Removing a hand from the
handlebars can reduce your ability
to control the motorcycle.
Never adjust the front brake lever
position while riding. Keep both
hands on the handlebars.
