Removing the Element
1. Remove the seat.
2. Remove the fasteners and cover

3. Remove the bolt 2, and element
assembly 3.
4. Carefully use an air hose to blow
the dust from the air cleaner ele-
ment.
NOTE: Always apply air pressure on
the throttle body side of the air
cleaner element only. If air pressure is
applied on the air cleaner cover side,
dirt will be forced into the pores of the
cleaner element restricting the air flow
through the cleaner element.
5. Reinstall the cleaned element or
new air cleaner element in reverse
order of removal. Be absolutely
sure that the element is securely
in position and is sealing properly.
6. If the air cleaner element is
clogged with dust or oil, replace
the air cleaner element.
