When the display indicates “CHEC”,
check following items;
• Make sure that the engine stop
switch is in the “” position.
If the display still indicates “CHEC”
after above procedure, inspect the
ignition fuse and connection of lead
wire couplers.
Fuel Meter C
The fuel meter indicates the amount
of fuel remaining in the fuel tank. The
fuel meter displays all 6 segments
when the fuel tank is full. The bottom
segment flickers when the fuel level
drops.
Coolant Temperature Indicator D
“” mark D and red indicator 6
comes on when the coolant tempera-
ture becomes high.
SHIFT LEVER
This vehicle has an automatic trans-
mission. Select gear positions
according to how you intend to use
the vehicle.
“L” (Low) position:
Carrying heavy loads or trailer towing
Compared to “H” position, this posi-
tion provides lower speed and greater
torque to the wheels.
“H” (High) position: Normal riding
with light loads.
“N” (Neutral) position: The transmis-
sion is in neutral.
“R” (Reverse) position: Select this
position to operate the vehicle
reverse.
CAUTION
Running the engine with high
engine coolant temperature can
cause serious engine damage.
If the engine coolant temperature
meter display flickers and indica-
tor light comes on, stop the
engine to let it cool. Do not run the
engine until the coolant indicator
light goes off.
