SPEEDOMETER AND
INDICATOR LIGHTS
Speedometer 1
The speedometer shows approxi-
mate vehicle speed.
Odometer 2
The odometer shows the total dis-
tance that the vehicle has been
ridden.
Trip Meter 3
The trip meter is a resettable
odometer. It can be used to show
the distance traveled on short
trips or between fuel stops. Turn-
ing the knob 4 counterclockwise
will reset the trip meter to zero.
Reverse Indicator “R” 5
A red light will come on when the
transmission is in reverse gear.
Neutral Indicator “N” 6
A green light will come on when
the transmission is in neutral. The
light will go out when you shift into
any gear other than neutral.
Oil temperature Indicator “”

A red light will come on if the
engine oil gets too hot. The light
will come on during starting to
check bulb operation. The light
should be off during normal oper-
ation.
NOTE:
• High engine speed, low vehi-
cle speeds, or heavy load can
increase engine oil tempera-
ture. Decrease engine speed,
reduce load and select an
appropriate transmission gear
to lower the temperature.
• Debris or mud in front of the
engine or packed between the
engine fins can reduce cooling
ability. Remove any debris or
mud preventing any debris or
mud preventing air flow to the
engine.
CAUTION
Operating the ATV while the oil
temperature indicator is lit can
damage your ATV.
Continued operation of the ATV
with high engine oil tempera-
ture may result in engine dam-
age or premature wear.
If the oil temperature indicator
comes on, stop the engine and
allow it to cool before restart-
ing. Refer to the note below.
