4. Place an accessory service
stand or equivalent under the
swingarm or chassis tubes to
stabilize the rear end.
5. Remove the cap 7.
6. Draw out the axle 8.
7. Remove the wheel from the
splined drive gear and set the
wheel assembly on the
ground.
8. Pull the wheel assembly rear-
ward.
9. To replace the wheel reverse
the complete sequence
described above.
CAUTION
A hot muffler can burn you.
Wait until the muffler cools
before removing the axle nut.
WARNING
If the bolts and nuts are not
properly tightened, the wheel
can come off, causing an acci-
dent.
Be sure to tighten the bolts and
nuts to the specified torque. If
you do not have a torque
wrench or do not know how to
use one, ask your authorized
Suzuki dealer to check the
bolts and nuts.
