(STANDBY)
When
the
unit
is
connected
to
the
AC
mains
supply,
this

dicator
lights
up

standby
mode
and
goes
out
when
the
unit
is
turned
on.

Channel
display
This
display
shows
the
channel
number
selected
by
one
of
the
preset-tuning
buttons.
Also
this
display
shows
the
channel
number
for
about
3
seconds
during
memory
scan
operation.

illuminates
when
the
unit
is
tuned
precisely
to
a
broadcast

illuminates
when
an
FM
stereo

memory

preset

FM:
Press
this
button
to
listen
to
an
FM
broadcast.
LW:
Press

listen

MW:

MW

ALLOCATION:
When
the
MW
button
is
pressed
for
about
3
seconds,
the
MW
frequency
step
will
change
to
10
kHz
per
step.
(This
step
is
set
to
9
kHz
before
shipment.)
In
order
to
return
to
the
original
frequency
indication,
press
this
button
for
about
3
seconds
again.

FM
mode
selector
(FM
MODE)
This
unit
automatically
switches
to
the
stereo
mode
when
an
FM
stereo
broadcast
is
received.
This
selector
is
used
to
select
the
mode
(stereo
or
monaural)
of
FM
broadcast
signals.
