type

tape.
This

using
deck

OPEN/CLOSE
on
deck
1,
and
then
insert
the
tape.
Load
a
tape
with
the
exposed
side
facing
the
cassette
holder’s
insertion
part.
Insert
the
tape
following
the
illustration.
The
illustration
shows
an
example
when
you
start
playback
from
the
beginning
of
the
tape
side

(front
side)
with
the
“>”
playback
button.
Insert
the
cassette
tape
until
it
touches
the
back
of
the
com-
partment.

deck

to
close
the
cassette
holder.

DOLBY
NR
to
select
ON
DOLBY
NR
or
OFF.
"O08"

appears
when
the
Dolby
NR
system
is

select
the
reverse
mode.
Each
time
you
press
REV
MODE,
one
of
the
indicators
will
appears.

fast
forwarding,

rewinding:

orange.

playing,
recording

finding
the
beginning
of
a
program:
Lights

green.
Do
not
insert
your
finger
etc.
into
the
cassette
holder.
To
reset
the
tape
counter:
It
is
convenient
to
reset
the
counter
when
you
want
to
memorize
a
certain
point
(For
example,
when
you
want
to
rewind
the
tape
to
the
midway
of
the
tune.
etc.).
The
tape
counter
indicates
the
amount
of
tape
travel
as
a
numerical
value
based
on
the
number
of
revolutions
of
the
tape
hub.
1.
Press
DECK
1/2
to
select
the
deck
to
be
used.
2.
Press
RESET.
@When
the
tuner
or
CD
mode
display
shows,
the
tape
counter
display
will
appear
for
about
1
second.
For
your
reference:
When
the
tape
is
travelling
in
the
reverse
direction,
the
value
dis-
played
on
the
tape
counter
will
count
down.
After
“O00_”
is
reached,
the
display
will
switch
to
“999_”
and
then
continue
counting
down.
To
change
to
the
counter
display
mode:
While
recording
from
CD
or
radio
broadcast,
you
can
check
the
tape
counter
by
switching
the
display
mode.
While
the
display
shows
the
CD
or
tuner
mode
display,
Press
DISPLAY.
The
display
changes
to
the
tape
counter
mode.
To
return
to
the
previous
display,
press
DISPLAY
again
(or
when
5
seconds
have
passed.
the
previous
display
will
be
resumed.)
