Each time you press KARAOKE,
KARAOKE mode will be switched as fol-

MONO. Lor You can use a sound multiplex CD,
MONO-R or multiplex tape.
OFF You can use normal karaoke tape, a
normal karaoke CD.
Start microphone mixing, and
adjust the microphone level.

To cancel the “KARAOKE” mode:
Press KARAOKE to go out the KARAOKE mode indicator.
When “VOICE MUTE” lights: Press 3 times.
When “MONO ¢ L” lights: Press twice.
When “MONO « PR?’ lights: Press once.
To record of your “KARAOKE” performance:
Start recording in deck 2, then start “KARAOKE” performance.
To playback the tape recorded in “KARAOKE” mode, press
KARAOKE to go out the KARAOKE mode indicator.
You cannot use “KARAOKE” function with:
@a tone quality effect (HALL, CLEAR, HEAVY)
®a radio source
You cannot record in “KARAOKE” mode using:
@a tone quality effect (HALL, CLEAR, HEAVY and V. BASS effect)
@a radio and a tape sources
®This function may not be effective according to the type of music.
®Do not press KARAOKE while recording.
elf you hear strange noises (squealing or howling) during mixing,
move the microphone farther away from the speakers or turn down
the volume and microphone volume on the amplifier.
When you are not using the microphone, disconnect it from the MIC
jack, and turn down the microphone volume level to MIN.
To record your voice:
1. Connect the microphone to the MIC jack.
2. Press SELECTOR to select “TAPE”.
3. Press REC PAUSE to put the cassette deck into the re-
cording standby mode.
. Press <j or > to start recording.
. Adjust the microphone volume level.
. Speak to the microphone.
You cannot record through the microphone with the Dolby Pro-Logic
mode on.
