Adjustment

Adjust
the
position
according
to the following
procedure
with
respect
to 1 7cm
and
30cm records.

Automatic

adjustment

30 cm

1. Fix
the tone
arm on
the rest.

2. Remove
the rubber
cap
of the
30 cm
record
automatic return
position
adjusting
screw,
and
then
turn
the
screw
with
a
screwdriver,
. .Turn
the screw
counterclockwise
when
the
tone
arm
returns
during
performance.

crockwise
when
the
tonc arm does riot
return
after
the
end
of
performance.

Arm-tift
Adjustment
of
muting
timing
(height
of
arm
lift)
This
unit
is
fitted
with
a muting
feature
which
is used
to
cur off ir-
ritating
noise
caused
at
the moment
the
stylus
is
brougnt
down
on
or lifted
up from
the record
surface.
Muting
timing r;an
be
adlusted
by
the
height
of
the
arm
lift,
a clearance
between
the
stylus
tip and
the record
surface
while
the
top
of
the rone
arm rs
at
the
"UP"
position
(V
),
by depressing
the
cueing
button.

height
of the
arm lift
was
adjusted
to
a
range
of

before
shipment
from
the factory.

is
needed
for
the
cartridqe
being
used.

To
begin
with,
protect
the
tip
of
the
stylus
protecter.
o
Push
the
stand-by
switch
ro

(
turntable
does not
move.
o
The
top
of
the adjustment
screw
is
hexagonal.
while
holdinq
the
arm lift
down,
turn
the
adjustment
screw.
Remember
to depress
the
arm lift
when
turning
the
adjustment
SCTEW.
lf recorded
sound cannot
be reproduced
at once
after
the
stylus
was
lowered
onto
the record
surface,
try
to
adlust
the
timing
by
turning
the ad
justment
screw
counterclockwise,
and
thus
increasing
the
distance
between
the
stylus
tip
and
the record
surface.
In
case
irritating
noise
is
generated
when
the
stylus
is lowered
onto
the
record
surface,
decrease
the
distance
by
turning
the
adjustment
screw
clockwise.

As
the
adjusting
screw has
a
hexagonal
head
be sure
to make
the
adlustment
while
depressing
the
arm
lift
or the
screw
will
not
move
f
reely

be sure
that
the
hexagonal
head
retracts

into
the
arm
lift
when
the latter
is released.
