Advice on the connection of 20-0005/-0006/
-0018/-0026/-0028A/-0028B/-0048: Please
start by connecting the speaker, the micro-
phone, and the buttons and make sure to main-
tain a maximum possible distance between the
speaker, the microphone, the buttons, and the
electronics. Please take notice of the advice on
wiring, distances and wire lengths from Seite
51. Important: Buttons may not use the same
return wire (mass)!
1. Please connect the door opener to relay 1,
where necessary. Relay = a potential-free
contact: only switches the circuit to open the
door, but does not provide electric voltage
(use a closing contact instead). The door
opener requires its own circuit. Relay 2 is
available for additional switch functions.
2. If required, connect 12-15 V= (potential-free
– use Behnke plug-in power supply 20-9585)
Required for lighting, integrated heating,
and integrated additional amplifier; not
required for telephone operation including all
functions. Special functions, such as camera,
display, voice messages, timer control may
need additional electronics and an additional
power supply. For multiple door intercom
devices, please always ensure a galvanic iso-
lation of the additional power supply. Please
note: The devices must not be operated in
parallel to their additional power supply.
3. Connect the telephone line to: a / b line of the
analogue extension of a telephone system,
analogue landline connection or other a / b
ports. After connecting the telephone line,
you will hear a long beep indicating the
operational readiness of the door intercom
device (=initialisation). The door intercom
device is now ready for set-up. Please note:
The devices must not be operated in parallel
via an a/b line.
