abilitytovarygroundspeedofthevehicle.Pressing
thepedalstartstheengine.Pressingthepedalfarther
increasesgroundspeed.Releasingthepedalwillslow
thevehicleandtheenginewillstoprunning.Maximum
forwardspeedis16mph(26km/h).
BrakePedal
Thebrakepedalisusedtostoporslowthevehicle
(Figure5).
CAUTION
Brakescanbecomewornorcanbeincorrectly
adjustedresultinginpersonalinjury.
Ifbrakepedaltravelstowithin1inch(25mm)of
thevehicleoorboard,thebrakesmustbeadjusted
orrepaired.
ParkingBrake
Theparkingbrakeisbetweentheseats(Figure5).
Whenevertheengineisshutoff,theparkingbrake
mustbeengagedtopreventaccidentalmovementof
thevehicle.Toengagetheparkingbrake,pullbackon
thelever.Todisengage,pushtheleverforward.Ifthe
vehicleisparkedonasteepgrade,makesurethatthe
parkingbrakeisapplied.
ChokeControl
Thechokecontrolislocatedbelowandtotherightof
theoperator’sseat.Tostartacoldengine,pullthechoke
