ofrotatingcomponentsandhotsurfaces.
CAUTION
Raisingthemowerdeckforserviceor
maintenancerelyingsolelyonmechanical
orhydraulicjackscouldbedangerous.The
mechanicalorhydraulicjacksmaynotbe
enoughsupportormaymalfunctionallowing
theunittofall,whichcouldcauseinjury.
Donotrelysolelyonmechanicalorhydraulic
jacksforsupport.Useadequatejackstands
orequivalentsupport.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,movethe
speed-controllevertotheNEUTRALposition,
disengagetheblade-controlswitch(PTO),and
engagetheparkingbrake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Removetheelectricalconnectionfromtheseat
safetyswitch,locateddirectlyinfrontofthe
seat-switchassembly.
4.Raisetheframeandplaceonjackstandsso
thatdrivewheelscanrotatefreely.
Note:Youmustmaketheneutraladjustment
withthedrivewheelsturning.
5.Temporarilyinstallajumperwireacrossthe
terminalsintheseatsafetyswitchconnectorof
thewireharness.
6.Starttheengine.
7.Runthemachineatleast5minuteswiththe
speed-controlleveratfullforwardspeedto
bringthehydraulicsystemuiduptooperating
temperature.
8.Returnthespeed-controllevertotheNEUTRAL
position.
9.ToobtaintheNEUTRALposition,adjusttheleft
andrightpump-control-rodlinkagesthatconnect
thesteeringcontroltothepump-controlarms
untilthewheelsstoporcreepslightlyinreverse
(Figure66).
10.Adjusttheleftpumplinkagebyrotatingthe
tracking-adjustmentknob.
11.Adjusttherightpumplinkagebyusingawrench
toturnthedoublenutsontheassembly(Figure
66).

conditions:
•Theblowerhasbeenremovedorreplaced.
•Theenginemountingboltshavebeenloosenedor
theenginehasbeenmovedorreplaced.
•Thejackshaftmountingboltshavebeenloosened
orthejackshafthasbeenmovedorreplaced.
