Conference Split/Join/Drop
If you initiate a conference with two or more parties, you and another member of the
conference can leave (Split) the conference for a private conversation. During this
time, other conference members remain connected.
You can then Join both of you back into the conference, or you can Drop (disconnect)
the member you are connected to. This feature is performed with Soft Keys if you
have a LCD phone with a Split button created on one of your flexible buttons.
Important! DKT2000-series telephones don’t display the SPLT soft key, so you must
create a
Split key using the feature key assignment method.
(See“Setting/Changing a Flexible Button’s Function” on page 101.)
The Split feature requires Strata CTX R2.2. This feature also works for remote
stations which are connected through Strata Net QSIG.
Important! You must be a conference master to perform the Split and Drop features.
The conference master is the person that initiates the conference call. If
that person drops from the conference, the first person added to the
conference becomes the conference master.
To Split from a conference
1. While in a conference call on a DKT3000
phone, press the
SPLT (Split) soft key or Split
button.
The telephone LCD shows first conference
party member. Notice the number 1 preceeding
extension 200 (1:200) shown right
2. Press the
NEXT soft key until you see the
extension number for the party that you want to
Split out of the conference.
