3. Connection method
Proceed as follows to connect the unit to the inverter. (Use the circuit explanatory drawing and
the connection explanatory drawing.)
Connection method
(1) Check to make sure all input powers to the inverter are off.
(2) Open the terminal board cover (installed with two screws) and remove the jumpered
connector mounted on the connector (CN21). (See the connection explanatory drawing for
locations of the connector for each model.)
Make sure to remove the connector while holding the connector area.
(3) Connect the connector of the control power option unit to the connector (CN21) of the
inverter main unit.
(4) Wire the cable of the control power option unit through the keyhole of the inverter’s wiring
inlet plate.
Fix the cable and do not pull on the cable carelessly.
(5) Install the control power option unit near the inverter. (Two M4 screws)
(6) Connect the control power wiring to the terminals R0 and S0 of the terminal board of the
inverter main unit. (See the connection explanatory drawing for the locations of R0 and S0
for each model.)
(7) Break the keyhole blocking nail of the inverter main unit’s terminal board cover and install
the terminal board cover with two screws.
<Note> When this jumpered connector is inserted, control power is supplied from the main
circuit power. By removing this connector, control power and main circuit power can
be supplied independently. (See the circuit explanatory drawing.)
<Note> When you conduct wiring after turning off power, wait for at least ten minutes and
check to make sure the charge lamp on the inverter is no longer lit.
Remove the connector while
pressing this part.

<Note> Pulling on the cable carelessly can cause electric shock, breakage, or erroneous
operation.
