CLEANING
Useasmallbrushtocleanofftheoutsideoftheunit.Donotusestrongdetergents.Household
cleanersthatcontainaromaticoilssuchaspineandlemon,andsolventssuchaskerosene,can
damageplastic.Wipeoffanymoisturewithasoftcloth.
STORAGE
• Neverstoreafueledunitwherefumesmayreachanopenameorspark.
• Allowtheenginetocoolbeforestoring.
• Lockuptheunittopreventunauthorizeduseordamage.
• Storetheunitinadry,well-ventilatedarea.
• Storetheunitoutofthereachofchildren.
Long Term Storage
1.
Removethefuelcap,tiptheunitanddrainthefuelintoanapprovedcontainer.Reinstallthefuel
cap.
2. Starttheengineandallowittorununtilitstalls.Thisensuresthatallfuelhasbeendrainedfrom
thecarburetor.
3. Allowtheenginetocool.Removethesparkplugandput5dropsofanyhighqualitymotoroilor
2-cycleoilintothecylinder.Pullthestarterropeslowlytodistributetheoil.Reinstallthespark
plug.
4.
Thoroughlycleantheunitandinspectitforanylooseordamagedparts.Repairorreplace
damagedpartsandtightenloosescrews,nutsorbolts.
Preparing the Unit for Use after Long Term Storage
1. Removethesparkpluganddrainalloftheoilfromthecylinder.
NOTE:Donotusefuelthathasbeenstoredformorethan30days.Disposeofoldfuelaccordingto
federal,stateandlocalregulations.
