Installation Instructions
Burner
To mount supplied burner:
UsemetricM8bolts.
Follow instructions supplied with
burner.
Burner Information
Fuels
For oil burners:
Use Fuel Oil #2 only.
For gas burners:
Natural gas
For propane burners:
Propane gas
(Riello only)
Use only the fuel s t ated on the rating
plate of the burner.
Burner calibration
Ensure that the combustion results of the
oil- or gas-fired burner mounted on this
boiler are verified after start-up.
If adjustments are necessary, always
verify results with a flue gas analyzer.
Altering flue gas temperature
To raise the flue gas temperature due to
chimney vent condensation, drill out the
necessary number of openings in the
base of the combustion chamber, using
a ½” / 13 mm dia. drill bit.
The flue gas temperature is increased
by approx. 18°F / 10°C for each hole
drilled.
An increase in flue gas temperature of
18°F / 10°C reduces the energy
efficiency by 0.4% per hole drilled. This
measure should therefore only be taken
if absolutely necessary. Other
measures, such as correctly sized
chimney and use of a barometric
regulator are preferable due to the fact
that by drilling the holes, combustion
efficiency will be reduced.

For gas burners, the gas supply piping
must be leak tested before placing
the boiler in operation. Follow
instructions in burner literature!
