5. Hold down both button until he indicator
light above button 2 will start to flash slowly.
Once the indicator light flash rapidly, both
buttons may be re-leased.
Operating the Homelink Universal Transmitter
1. Switch the ignition switch on.
2. Press button 1, 2 or 3 to active the desire
remote control function.
Erasing HomeLink Universal Transmitter
1. Switch the ignition on.
2. Press and hold buttons 1 and 3 at the same
time for about 20 seconds,
3. Release two buttons until the indicator light
begins to flash.
4. All previous programming is erased.
WARNING
Improper use of HomeLink can cause se-
rious personal injury
Garage doors operate with enough forces
to cause serious injury.
Never let anyone get in the way of a ga-
rage door when it is opening or closing.
Mp3/IPod Adapter
Your 2010 Volkswagen allows you to paly Mp3/IPod on audio system

MDI auxiliary Connection Steps:
1. Connect the MP3 player or iPod device to
the MDI cable connected to the multimedia jack
in the glove box.
2. Press the MEDIA hard key (A).
3. Turn on your iPod or MP3 player. The
sound will be played through your speaker sys-
tem.
Auxiliary input Connections Steps:
1. Plug in your iPod to auxiliary jack in the
center console. Note that an auxiliary cable
does not come standard.
2. Press the MEDIA hard key (A).
3. Select the AUX or MEDIA-IN soft key (B) on
the touch screen. You are now connected to
your iPod.
WARNING
Driver distraction, including the operation
of external audio devices, can cause acci-
dents and serious personal injury.
Always focus your undivided attention on
driving the vehicle.
Never display video images in the display
when the vehicle is moving.
Never leave external devices in the doors,
on the front windshield, on or near the
area marked "AIRBAG" on the steering
wheel, instrument panel, seat backs, or
between these areas and the occupants.
External devices can cause serious injury in
the event of an accident, especially if the
airbags inflate.
Uncounted or improperly mounted exter-
nal devices can be thrown through the
passenger compartment in the event of a
sudden driving or braking maneuver or an
accident, causing injury.
