Diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)
WARNING! Read the safety precautions for maintenance and service in the chapter “Safety Information”
before starting work.
Code 1.1 No fault
There are no diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) stored and
no malfunctions have been registered.
Code 1.2 Calibration
Cause: The neutral position is incorrect in relation to the
potentiometer value.
Consequence: The calibration is not approved.
Corrective action:
Erase the diagnostic trouble code (DTC).
Recalibrate the control (see the “Troubleshooting” chap-
ter).
Check the installation of the control and the potentiome-
ter if the fault persists.
Code 1.3 Calibration
Cause: The angle between the initial throttle opening and
wide open throttle (WOT) is too small.
Consequence: The calibration is not approved.
Corrective action:
Erase the diagnostic trouble code (DTC).
Recalibrate the control (see the “Troubleshooting” chap-
ter).
Check the installation of the control and the potentiome-
ter if the fault persists.
Code 1.4 Calibration
Cause: The neutral position is too small.
Consequence: The calibration is not approved.
Corrective action:
Erase the diagnostic trouble code (DTC).
Recalibrate the control (see the “Troubleshooting” chap-
ter).
Check the installation of the control and the potentiome-
ter if the fault persists.
Code 1.5 Calibration
Cause: The control module is unable to identify the control
system.
Consequence: The control cannot be calibrated.
Corrective action:
Check the fuses, connections and wiring for the main
relay, control and reverse gear.
Erase the diagnostic trouble code (DTC).
Recalibrate the control (see the “Troubleshooting” chap-
ter).
Code 1.6 Calibration
Cause: The control on the main control position (usually
the control position in the saloon) is not calibrated.
Consequence: The starter motor does not activate.
Corrective action:
Calibrate the control (see the “Troubleshooting” chapter).
Code 1.7 Calibration
Cause: The control on another control position is not cali-
brated.
Consequence: The starter motor does not activate.
Corrective action:
Calibrate the control (see the “Troubleshooting” chapter).
Code 2.2 Fuel injection pump
Cause: The sensor for the control rod position gives read-
ings outside the permitted range.
Consequence: The engine stops.
Corrective action:
Check the connections for the injection pump (the actua-
tor) and the control module.
Erase the diagnostic trouble code (DTC).
Start the engine.
Contact an authorized workshop if the fault persists.
