Before first Use
Remove all parts from the packaging. Keep packaging material out of reach
of children. There is risk of suffocation!
Regularly clean the inner glass surface in the slot (15) of the scanner with the
included cleaning brush (12) (brush side facing down) without using alcohol or
similar in order to achieve a clear image.
Before scanning make sure the negative film, the slides and the holder are
clean. Dust or dirt will affect the quality of the scanned image.
Inserting a Negative Film into the Negative Holder
1. Open the negative film holder (14) by pushing
out the locking clip.
2. Insert the negative film into the tray so the
small pins inside the tray fit with the perforation.
Hint: do not flip negatives, if the negatives are
flipped, the pictures will be scanned mirror
inverted.
3. Close the negative holder and press down the
locking clip until it locks audibly.
Inserting Slides into the Slide Holder
1. Open the slide holder (13) by pushing out the
locking clip.
2. Place the slides into the provided notches.
3. Close the slide holder by pressing down the
locking clip until it locks audibly.
The slide and negative film scanner works as
stand alone unit. This means that it does not need to be connected to the PC in
order to scan. To transfer images via the USB cable from the scanner to the PC
and for additional image processing you have to install the software driver and the
ArcSoft PhotoImpression 6 program on your PC.
