Configuring IBM i5/OS
This section describes the process of configuring an i5/OS system to communicate and print on a
Xerox FreeFlow® Print Server IPDS printer using TCP/IP on a System i series server.
Configuration Overview - i5/OS
Configuring the Xerox FreeFlow® Print Server IPDS printer with TCP/IP on the i5/OS system involves
setting up 3 components:
1. IPS Manager System Configuration Menu (Refer to System Configuration).
Note The printer IP Address is specified during the initial software load. Set the TCP/IP port
number in the IPS Manager System Configuration dialog.
2. TCP/IP for i5/OS parameters (Refer to System i Networking TCP/IP Setup)
3. PSF procedure (Refer to System i Printing Basic printing and IBM Systems - iSeries Printing
Advanced Function Presentation)
