Malfunctions and Errors
If you have a problem with your treadmill, before you do anything else please check that all the cables have
been connected correctly. Loose cables are very common and many problems can be solved by making
sure the cables are properly connected

1. Not plugged in.
2. Safety key not on correctly.
3. Treadmill circuit breaker.

5. Loose connection.
1. Running mat loose.
2. Deck needs lubrication.
1. Loose hardware.
2. Motor straining.
3. Clicking sound - roller knocking.
1. To much hand movement.
2. Palms too wet.
3. Gripping hand grips too tight.
4. Wearing rings.
1. Tighten all visible screws, nut, and bolts.
2. Check mat tension - 3 nger test.
3. Adjust rear rollers - check the tension.
1. Stand on side rails to get accurate pulse reading.
2. Dry palms.
3. Grip using moderate pressure.
4. Remove all rings.
1. Tighten running mat.
2. Lubricate mat and deck.
1. Plug into suitable outlet.
2. Insert safety key.
3. Reset circuit breaker.
4. Turn the switch on.
5. Un-plug and re-plug electrical cord.

In the event of an electrical failure the treadmill will automatically
shut o. To restart the treadmill:
1. Unplug the power cable from the treadmill
2. Push in the safety switch
3. Re-plug the power cable into the treadmill
The console will display information regarding operational faults
with the treadmill. If your treadmill behaves in an unusual way and
seems to have developed a fault, turn it o at the electrical outlet
and then back on again. This should clear the treadmill of incidental
errors and prepare it for normal operation. If there is still a problem
call your local York distributor for advice. Please nd below some
specic error messages you may see on the display:
E1 - Communication error
E2 – Motor connection error
E3 - Speed sensor error
E4 – Relay error
E5 – Over electrical current error
E6 – Running mat over speed error
E7 - Safety key error
In both cases turn the treadmill o at the electrical outlet and then
back on again. If this doesn’t work, call your local York distributor for
advice.
