lMeasuretheopticalpowerintheopticalberwithanopticalpowermetertomake
suretheopticalsourceisswitchedoff.
lWhenopeningthefrontdooroftheopticalbertransmissionsystem,becarefulto
avoidthelaserradiation.
lProhibittouseopticalinstrumentincludingthemicroscope,themagnierortheloupe
toobservetheopticalberconnectorortheopticalbertips.
Doasfollowswhenhandlingtheopticalbers:
lOnlythepersonnelwithcorrespondingtrainingcanshear,fuseandsplicetheoptical
ber.
lMakesuretheopticalberandopticalsourceisdisconnectedbeforeshear,fuseand
splicetheopticalver.Afterdisconnectingtheopticalber,protectalltheopticalber
connectorswiththeopticalbercaps.
