Instructions for Use
Always allow motor to run in the above engine speed range
during trimming and cutting
Safety Guidelines
Caution!
Observe the safety and warning guidelines in this
documentation and on the devicet.
Wear suitable work clothes
While working, keep a secure stance
Always operate the device with both hands
Keep body and clothing away from the cutting works
Keep third-parties away from the danger area
Never hold the string head above knee-height while the
device is in operation
Trimming
Inspect the grounds and determine the desired cutting 1.

Close Trimming

Warm Start
Set the ignition switch on "Start".1.
Set the start ipper on "RUN". 2.
Lock gas lever as under "Cold start".3.
Pull starter cord quickly a maximum of 6x - the motor 4.
starts up. Press gas lever completely, until the motor
runs smoothly.
Motor does not start:
Set the start
ipper to the position "RUN"
Pull starter cord 5x.The motor still does not start:
Wait 5 minutes and then try again with a pressed-
through gas lever
Refer to the chapter "Troubleshooting Help."
During hang mowing work, always stand beneath the
cutting device
Never work on a slippery
, sliding hill or slope
Never use the device in the vicinity of highly ammable
uids or gases - explosion and/or burn danger!
After contact with a foreign object:
Turn off motor
Examine device for damages
Persons who are not familiar with the trimmer should
practice while the motor is turned off
Lengthening the Cutting String
Allow the motor to run at full throttle and tip the string 1.
head on the ground.
The string is automatically lengthened.
The blade on the protective shield shortens the
string to the permissible length.
Cleaning the Protective Shield
Turn device off.1.
Carefully remove mowing debris with a screwdriver or 2.

Clean the protective shield regularly, in order to
prevent the shaft tube from overheating.
