PLB-AMP8 8-Channel Audio Power Amplifier
PHASTLink Ports
There are two PHASTLink ports on the rear panel of the amplifier. Usually you will use only one,
but the second port allows you to daisy chain the amplifier to other PHASTLink devices such as
additional amplifiers.
It does not matter which PHASTLink port you use; they are both functionally identical.
Line-Level Inputs
There are eight line-level RCA-type input jacks on the rear panel of the system unit. Each has an
LED above it to indicate when its channel has been selected for setting the volume level.
Speaker-Level Outputs
There are 16 speaker-level output jacks on the rear panel of the system unit. These are banana-type
screw-down jacks. Each +/- pair has an RCA jack and associated LEDs above them to indicate
when its channel has been selected for setting the volume level.
Fuses
Fuses are located at the upper right corner of the rear panel. If you ever have to replace a fuse, make
sure it is of the correct type and amperage rating (see the specification sheet for details).
To replace a fuse, push the cap in with your fingers, turn it counter-clockwise until it stops (almost
a quarter of a turn), slide the cap and fuse out, and remove the fuse from the cap. Then insert a new
fuse in the cap, slide the cap and fuse back into the fuse holder, push it in and turn it clockwise until
it stops. Do not use excessive force.
TERMINATE any unused ports.
Warning! Dangerous Voltage!
TO AVOID SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH, TURN THE AMPLIFIER OFF AND
UNPLUG ITS POWER CORD BEFORE REPLACING A 15 A SLOW-BLOW FUSE.
There should be no more than two units connect to a single 20 A breaker.
