Service schedules
T o make sure your post dri ver keeps worki ng to
maximum efficiency, it is essential that it is
properl y and regularl y maintained in accordance
wi th the servi ce schedules i ncl uded i n thi s
handbook.
Ba dl y maintained equi pm en t c an be a danger to
the operatorand the peopl e worki ng around him .
Make sure that the regul ar routi ne mai ntenance
and l ubri cati on jobs l i sted in the servi ce
schedul es are done to keep the equi pm ent i n a
safe and effi cient worki ng condition.
Do not use equi pment whi ch i s due for a servi ce.
Make sure that any defects found duri ng the
regul ar routi ne mai ntenance checks are recti fi ed
before you use the equipm ent.
Scrapping w orn-out machines
Worn-out machi nes shoul d be scrapped so that
as m uch m aterial as possi bl e i s recovered and to
cause as li ttl e envi ronm ental i mpact as possi ble.
NB. Before a worn-out hydraul i c post dri ver i s
scrapped it must be empti ed and cl eaned of al l
hydrauli c oil . Waste hydrauli c oi l shall be handl ed
i n such as way as to cause no envi ronmental
i mpact.
Recommended hy draulic oil
In order to protect the envi ronment Atl as Copco
recommends the use of biologi call y degradabl e
hydrauli c oil .

Standard mi neral or syntheti c oil can be used.
When the post dri ver i s used continuousl y the oi l
temperature wil l stabi li ze at a level whi ch i s
call ed the worki ng temperature. T hi s wi ll be,
depending on the type of work and the cooli ng
capaci ty of the hydrauli c system, between 20 -
40°C above the ambient temperature.
At work ing temperature oil viscos ity must lie
wi thi n the preferred l imi ts. T he vi scosi ty index
i ndi cates the connecti on between vi scosi ty and
temperature. Thi s i s the reason why a hi gh
vi scosi ty i s preferred,
becausethentheoilcanbeusedwithinawider
range of tem peratures.
T he post dri ver shall not be used i f oil viscosi ty
fail s to remain w i thi n the permi tted area, or i f
the worki ng tem perature of the oil does not fal l
between +20°C and 70°C.

1 T he post dri ver, i ts accessori es and hoses.
Check (Post driver disconnected)
2 All hydrauli c connections.
3 For damage to the post dri ver, its
accessori es and i ts hoses.
Month ly
Check (Post driver disconnected)
1 T orque ti ghtness of all fasteners.
2 T he bush i n nose casting for wear or
damage.
3 Wear on the shank of the rammi ng tool .
Lubricate
4 Spray the trigger and al l contact surfaces
with suitable lubricant, appliesto hydraulic post
dri ver wi th trigger control val ve onl y.
Ever y 600 o per at in g hour s o r
yearly ( whichever occur s f irst )
1 Overhaul the post dri ver refer to the
overhauling instructions.
