Safety and operating instructions
Preparations before starting
Fuel mixing ratios
Pionjär with cast-iron cylinder: petrol/oil mix:
1 part two-stroke oil to 12 parts petrol (8%).
For the best lubricating results use Atlas Copco’s
environmentally friendly two-stroke oil, which
has been specially developed for Atlas Copco’s
petrol-engine driven hammering and rock-drilling
machines. If Atlas Copco’s two-stroke oil is not
available, use a high-quality two-stroke oil for air-
cooled two-stroke engines (not a two-stroke oil
for outboard motors). Contact your nearest Atlas
Copco representative for advice on the correct
two-stroke oil.
Fitting the tool
Make sure the machine is shut down.
Use a shank gauge to check that the tool shank
has the correct dimensions,
i.e. 22 x 108 mm.
Make sure that the shank is clean and that the tool
is in a good condition.
